The Elliott's came for Christmas and on one of the days we all did a special treat for each other making one fantastic never to be repeated day.
The day started with my brother, Simon, hiring a helicopter to take us on an early morning flight over Manhattan. It was a beautifully clear (but cold) day, and we had fantastic views. We took some photos but some are less clear because they were taken through the cockpit window.

Dad had booked us for a very fine lunch at renowned French restaurant La Grenouille But after a helicopter ride over manhattan and knowing how prestigeous the restaurant was, on this particular day, a cab or the subway just wasn't going to cut it. So Mark and I added the finishing touch to the day by hiring a limosine to take us to lunch. The look of surprise on Mum's face when the limo turned up at the hotel was priceless!
It was a very special day, full of firsts for everyone and a pistachio souffle I will remember for as long as I live!
The Bear, Camp Colby Cabins, Saranac Lake, NY
November 22-26, 2000
In need of some fresh air, peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of life in Manhattan, Mark and I , accompanied by our Friends Amrit and Survinder, decided to escape to the Adirondack Mountains (approximately 300 miles north of New York City) over the Thanksgiving holidays.
We hired a Cabin situated on the shore of Lake Colby, a quiet lake famed for it's breathtaking sunsets. Located in the North Adirondacks, walking distance from the town of Saranac Lake, which has been hailed as an "All American Town". Lake Colby is also just 9 miles from Lake Placid which was the location for the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics.
