We woke up this morning and apparently we now live in London. Some kind of Star Trek like teleportation must have occurred last night while we were sleeping, either that or the Brits invaded again!
We opened the blinds this morning to find a Double Decker Bus, and two London Cabs parked outside our apartment on Wall Street. The 2/3 subway line is now the London underground, we have a London Transport bus stop and there is a classic red British Telecom phonebox but of course the "piece d'resistance" is the Union Jack flying in all her glory. Home Sweet Home! View image
All this is in aid of the new "Pink Panther" movie starring Steve Martin. Ah the magic of Hollywood!
Update:- Well the transformation continuied throughout the day and filming is underway as I type. The street is swarming with English looking people, in buisness suits and briefcases thankfully no bowler hats though! We even have some good old British "Bobbies" (Police) patrolling the street with their Truncheons (nightsticks)... " 'allo 'allo " View image
Wow, so cool. I always like to see the movie shootings. And you were able to see it right from your window!
There are usually a lot of movies that shot in New York, but you have to be in the right place at the right time. I witnessed only one movie scene, and I don't remember the name of the movie, but I've seen John Candy and the young beauty from Dynasty.
Looking at the pavement on the first screen shot, I don't believe it is that bad in London (all patched up). Is it?

PS. My comments window is all the way on the bottom, including the rest of the text, meaning no bars on the left or right

You are right Ayli the streets and roads of London are not as bad as in NY, I think they will have to do some photoshopping on them
